Exotic Granite Slabs House The “obel” By Nestor Sandbank

Exotic stone slabs are well known for their rough look and sculptural design. But how about you question that. Isn’t the interior of this house simply stunning? This is the Luna Llena House, a holiday home designed by Japanese architecture firm Sandbank.

It’s located in Santo Domingo, in the Dominican Republic and it sits on an 11,500sqf site. It was built using as a combination of reclaimed and unfinished concrete blocks and the resulted stunning pieces include an open air breezeway, a center house with a gourmet kitchen, an art studio and an outdoor entertaining area.

The most impressive is the master suite which has a Jacuzzi, a sauna and a home theater and they all have private decks which overlook the sea. What we love the most about this house is the open air tub between the sauna and the social areas. It’s not what you would expect to see in any complex project like this one. It’s a luxury house.{found on contemporist}
