Kerferd is a cozy house designed by Kerrie Makka.
Basis of the kitchen is a round space, where family members can enjoy their own space and meet each other. It is an open and airy space, with plenty of natural light and comfortable seats. The kitchen furniture hides many things inside it, that can be admired from all the different rooms of the house.
A small wooden dining table made of poplar veneer takes to a position that makes it comfortable for the family and a centerpiece for the surrounding space. Granite chairs around the table create a dramatic look while, contrasting with, and just as important for, natural rock terrariums.
The wall opposite to the glass door that is the entrance to the small bedroom is also entirely made of granite. It is integrated into the wall panel by a long sculptural line, giving it a strong trace in nature, not to mention that the light falls like light in the clouds, creating an interesting effect.
The imposing wall of shining granite not only adds visual strength and strength of design but also creates a strong focal point in the room, one which connects both the interior to the exterior and the rest of the house.
